In 2018, Paolo, a young entrepreneur, dedicated himself to the project of creating a rainproof jacket tailored to the real needs of those who spend a lot of time outdoors. Dissatisfied with the jackets available on the market, which often left much to be desired in terms of durability and comfort, he wanted to develop a practical solution for those who face the elements daily.
His first prototype, initially promising, revealed a vulnerability during testing due to the fabric being too breathable. Aware of the practical needs of outdoor workers, Paolo did not get discouraged. Instead of abandoning the project, he set out to find a better solution.
He decided to overlay two layers of fabric, creating a void space between them. The first layer would stop the rain, while the second would come into action if the first failed. Additionally, he added openings at the bottom of the jacket to allow any water that penetrated to drain between the two layers.
Thus, Uragan-Tex was born, a jacket designed to meet the specific needs of outdoor activities. Overlaying two layers of water-repellent and breathable technical fabric became the key to creating an effective barrier against rain without sacrificing comfort.
To solve the annoying problem of the hood constantly falling in front of the eyes every time you turned your head, typical of all jackets on the market, Paolo devised a special visor.
This visor was intelligently designed to fit perfectly under a cap, which also had a visor. When worn together with the cap, the visor adheres to the jacket hood. This ingenious design ensures that when you turn your head, the hood naturally follows the movement, thus preventing it from positioning in front of the eyes.
The solution found not only solves the practical problem of constantly having to move the hood with your hands but also eliminates the risk of inadvertently introducing water into the jacket. A seemingly small detail, but one that makes the jacket even more functional and suitable for the real needs of those wearing it in the rain.
The final result reflects the desire to create a practical and realistic solution for those who live and work in the rain, a concrete response to the needs of outdoor workers, a step forward in ensuring comfort and protection.
